De regeling van de gebruikerscompensatie is te vinden in het decreet van 27 maart 2009 houdende vaststelling van een kader voor de gebruikerscompensatie bij bestemmingswijzigingen, overdrukken en erfdienstbaarheden tot openbaar nut.; De voorwaarden, de randvoorwaarden en de wijze waarop de vergoedingen bepaald worden, zijn geregeld in het besluit van de Vlaamse Regering van 24 juli 2009 houdende vaststelling van een kader voor gebruikerscompensatie bij bestemmingswijzigingen, overdrukken en erfdienstbaarheden van openbaar nut.
